Also I have eliminated some of the white background and replaced w yellow. However I am not sure if I want to keep the white for the various text boxes.
Next I want to switch the Links and Archives over to the right side. But I haven't figured that one out yet.
Continuing in my road to geekdom I have posted a picture of the newest addition to our family on the new site. Trouble Dog who is now sleeping nearby is a bundle of energy.
He especially likes to play with our other dog (picture to come soon). His favorite game is to chase her as she chases her ball. However he has no interest in the ball. He just want to run. If she stops and lays down to chew the ball he will run endless circles around her.
If I am holding the ball he will run circles around both of us.
We really have to watch him sometimes because he gets so into playing that he forgets to do his "business" and then happily relieves himself on the stairs. This is something we are working on with great success.
It's great to see fellow bloggers getting a chance to be involved with a legitimate media publication. I hope some of their stuff gets into the print editions since they are both excellent writers.
Presumably other Canadian writer/bloggers will appear there as well.
Hopefully some day I will be asked to contribute to but until now I will just remain jealous as hell!
So Condi Rice will testify next Thursday before the independent commission investigating the Sept. 11 attacks.
I have been thinking about this for the past few days and feel that Condi could really make a good impression by wearing the right outfit.
So as I am running off to an early meeting and wont do a full posting till later on today or this evening I think we should all give some thoughts as to what Condi should wear in order to put her best foot forward.

A study released by the EU's racism and xenophobia monitoring center astounded experts by concluding that the wave of anti-Jewish persecution over the last two years stemmed from neo-Nazi or other racist groups.
"The largest group of the perpetrators of anti-Semitic activities appears to be young, disaffected white Europeans," said a summary released to the European Parliament .

The left has always had it's cardboard cutout bad guys. Nazis, white supremacists etc who really are a tiny group of people but whose behavior they like to expand to include anyone who doesn't agree with them.
Marxists and Communists often adopt social causes to seem benevolent however they are only interested in furthering their own revolutionary agenda to destroy free market democracies.
The myopia that sees the US as a "fascist" state explains the readiness of the left to demonize Israel. They are only concerned with fighting "fascists" and they see fascists every where.
Since Israel is an ally of the US ipso facto they are fascists also.
Let's see how much play this gets in the local North American media. With a rash of anti-Semitic activity in Toronto (which most media types are hoping were committed by tattooed punks and skin-heads) you'd think this would be an important issue.

I have been offered hosting at the Munuvian community and am taking them up on their offer. However since I want to learn the in's and out's of Mov Type before I move I will be maintaining two blogs for a while.
This gives me a chance to act on andidea I had while talking to Michael at Canadian Headhunter. I think a blog devoted to learning a particular subject is a fantastic idea.
You could make postings based on what you are learning and also pose questions and problems that other people could help you with.
I think this would work well for any subject: Investing, home renovation, any type of technology, gardening etc., etc.

Meantime if you are at all Movable Type savvy you can help me. I have already learned how to post pictures. Now I need to figure out how to make better templates. I don't like the letters - too large and the amount of white space around them. Also I want to add some color. Any ideas?

Unfortunately this was published in an American paper. I doubt it will be read in Europe where it really needs to be. Someone should start posting it in public places in France and Germany and Britain where people will see it.
You know I expected to be swamped with emails and entries for this thing. Turns out I only got three or four. So I thought, maybe I should go looking for other blogs to put here. But then again I thought if you can't get off your ass and send me a link you don't deserve it. It's not fair to the good bloggers who did send me an entry plus a hockey prediction. If you want to send something in over the course of the day then go ahead.

Sari who is a die hard Habs fan is going with her head over her heart and picking Ottawa to go the furthest of any Canadian team and also to win the cup!
But then, isn't democracy founded on the principle that the majority opinion is the right one? And if democracy is such a beautiful thing, then how do you reconcile the notion that it systematically allows the majority to make decisions that go against the minority? I mentioned homosexuality before; is gay marriage "wrong" because the majority of people oppose it? Or if the majority support it, does it become "right"? To put another way, if Quebec held a referendum tomorrow asking if the Jews should pay extra taxes, and it passed with a 70% majority, does that make that "right"?
Adam Daifallah believes Ottawa will go furthest but thinks the Flyers have the momentum to take the cup (although I think they need both Roenick AND Primeau at 100% for this to happen)

Why do this? It makes the people doing the protesting look really juvenile and cold. Maple Leafs
Wordlab who is smartly picking the Maple Leafs to go the furthest of any team (he also feels they will win the Cup although I am not so sure about that yet) has an interesting post on Toronto dating giant "Lavalife" (boy I really hate that name. I know it's better than Telepersonals but Lavalife? Yuck!!)
She also rides a Yamaha (like I do) and feels that the Bertuzzi free Canucks will go furthest but that Colorado will win the Cup. Of course if those two meet in the first round.....
